About The Petropolitan
Built Around Better Pet Care
For more than ten years, The Petropolitan has treated every dog as someone, not something. Across our two inner-city Calgary locations, we create thoughtful days shaped around each pet—with the same trusted standard of care and a purposefully different mix of services at each.
Fun!
The Care Every Dog Deserves
Every detail—from the spaces and daily routines to the updates you receive—is shaped around one question: Will my dog feel safe, comfortable and cared for here? These four commitments are how we make sure the answer is yes.
01
Purpose-built luxury spaces
Calm rooms, soft lighting, soothing music and a thoughtful colour palette create a comfortable, five-star retreat that feels more like home.

Hands-on, personalized care
Our accredited team gets to know everything about your dog—their name, routine and unique play style. Size- and energy-matched groups help every dog enjoy the right balance of safe play, enrichment and downtime.

Safe, spotless, and always staffed
Required vaccinations, careful supervision and strict sanitation protocols help keep every space safe and spotless. At our Downtown flagship, overnight guests are supported by staff on-site 24/7.

Everything they need, under one roof
Daycare, boarding, Salon & Spa services and enrichment upgrades can be tailored to your pet’s visit. One trusted team gets to know them across every service, making care easier for you and more familiar for them.
Their Daycare, Their Spa, Their Home Away From Home
Our Downtown flagship brings dog and cat boarding, daycare, and Salon & Spa services together under one roof. Killarney offers neighbourhood daycare and Salon & Spa care. Two inner-city locations, one trusted standard—with a different mix of services designed for each community.
Trained. Certified. Watched closely.
Every member of our team trains to recognized industry standards—and both locations were purpose-built to support the same high standard of care.
Our staff train against OPCLC and PACCC standards, the recognized North American frameworks for pet care operations, safety, and personnel.
Full camera surveillance
Every play area, salon room, and boarding suite is monitored.
Fire-sprinklered facility
Full-building fire suppression throughout both locations.
Climate-controlled with medical-grade air purification
High-quality HVAC and air purification systems in every room.
Purpose-built play equipment
Every piece is designed specifically for dogs, not repurposed from human gyms or playgrounds.
Rescues We're Proud to Work With
Community care extends beyond our doors. We’re proud to support Calgary animal rescues throughout the year and connect our clients with trusted organizations making a difference for pets across the city.

Parachutes for Pets
A Calgary-based nonprofit that keeps pets in the homes they already have — through a pet food bank, temporary fostering for pet parents in crisis, and community outreach across the city.

Canadian Animal Task Force
A veterinary volunteer team that runs spay/neuter clinics in underserved communities across Western Canada — reducing the flow of unwanted litters into shelters at the source.

Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society
One of Alberta's largest rescue and rehoming operations, focused on animals from rural, remote, and Indigenous communities. Every year we help fundraise and foster where we can.
Hi!
Meet Hailey
Before founding The Petropolitan, Hailey Seidel spent ten years leading one of Calgary’s largest pet care companies. But when she couldn’t find a place she fully trusted with her own Great Dane, she saw an opportunity to create something better.
After selling her first business in 2017, Hailey spent a year thoughtfully designing The Petropolitan from the ground up. The result was Calgary’s first downtown luxury pet care facility—a space where every detail, from the rooms to the team’s training, supports a higher standard of care.
Ten years later, Hailey remains closely involved. You’ll still find her in the lobby, getting to know new dogs and the people who love them.
