How long have you worked in pet care?

I’ve been working in pet care since September 2021. When I started at pet, it was my first job in pet care.

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

My favourite things about working at pet are seeing all the fantastic dogs each day and how lovely the customers are.

How long have you worked in pet care?

I have worked in pet care for 4 years.

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

My favourite part about The Pet is the most amazing, unique and endless opportunities offered. From Calgary Tower and ice cream shop field trips to being able to connect with remarkable clients. Having the opportunity to hang out and care for such wonderful animals all day long, and finally, the chance to be surrounded by the most fun, exceptional, loving co-workers that have turned into family. The Pet has become my second home, and I am so grateful for everything.

I’ve worked in pet care for 8 months (a year in August 2022).

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

My favourite part has to be pretty much everything! I love seeing the dogs and cats come and leave, I love getting to know each dog’s personality, and I love watching the little babies grow.

I have two labs, one crazy yellow and one super calm black, back home with my parents and I am planning to get my own dog in the next couple of months!

How long have you worked in pet care?

I studied Animal Science in college back home, and it has always been a dream of mine to work with animals since I was a little kid! I have worked at The Pet since March 2020, right before the pandemic hit! I moved to Calgary from Dublin, Ireland, in Sept 2019 and am currently in the process of getting my permanent residency!

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

I love seeing the dogs growing up. It’s so rewarding to hear from clients what an amazing job we are doing and that their pups go home relaxed and tired from playing with their pals all day!

I do not have any pets at the moment; however, I plan on adopting a dog in the next year or so! I do have a 12-year-old Jack Russell named Scrappy living back in Dublin with my Mom, and I miss him lots.

I don’t currently have any pets, but I would love to have some one day! I want a cat and one or two dogs. I’m a huge fan of breeds like Leonbergers or other big and cuddly bear-like dogs!

How long have you worked in pet care?

I’ve worked at The Pet for a little over a year! I started as a bather and entered the Grooming academy, being The Pet’s first-ever graduate, and now I am a certified Pet Groomer!

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

My favourite part about working at The Pet is the dogs (obviously), but I also really enjoy meeting the owners and creating close relationships with them and their furry friends! I’m happy I get to share my passion with like-minded people; we’ve built a fantastic team here at The Pet!

I have a Pitbull named Toro (nickname, Toebeans); he is a giant baby! He loves to snuggle under the covers and greet you with a new toy of the day every day! I have a Ragdoll x Himalayan cat named Sebastian (nickname, Saboo); he loves to cuddle and strut his stuff and can really talk your ear off!

How long have you worked in pet care?

I’ve worked in pet care for close to 15 years! I did some volunteering with AARCS, some event volunteering, fostering dogs, working in boarding facilities across Calgary, and managing an animal shelter.

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

My favourite part of the day is getting to hang out with the dogs. I especially look forward to spending time with my favourite gal, Frida the Labradoodle.

I have a cat named Roxy and 2 fish right now! I love going home to a warm welcome from Roxy and just hanging out with her after work. My two fish are named Larry and Curly, I’ve had them for over 7 years, and they followed me when I moved provinces a few years ago. There are plans for more pets in the near future, just not ready quite yet.

How long have you worked in pet care?

I’ve worked in pet care for over 10 years! I started my career in the reptile, bird, and small animal department at a retail store before becoming a grooming assistant and eventually becoming a certified groomer. I joined The Pet in Dec of 2021 as a groomer, then transitioned into Client Services, where I’m most passionate.

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

The staff. I love being surrounded by and working with other experienced team members who have a passion for pets and who only want the best for the animals they care for.

I have a 9-year-old American Bulldog x Staffordshire Terrier named Jaxx, the sweetest boy who loves to cuddle and watch TV, but also just loves snow and puppies! I also have a sassy and playful cat named Emmental, but we call her Emmy for short.

How long have you worked in pet care?

I’ve worked in pet care for about 3 years on my own now, but I was practically raised in a salon. My Mom owned her own grooming business for many years, so I’ve been learning since I was about 9 or 10 years old. When Covid hit, I got laid off from my farm job and started grooming again.

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

I love The Pet’s relaxed and friendly atmosphere and enjoy the dogs that come through. They always make my day!

I don’t currently have any pets, but I love my boyfriend’s dog, Ruby (GSD), who I’ve lovingly nicknamed Rubert! I love walking to the park with her and giving her an occasional liver treat.

How long have you worked in pet care?

When I was little, my family bred many animals (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens, and rabbits), and we also had some aquatic and exotic pets (red-bellied piranha, tarantula, flowerhorns, arowanas, and a snapping turtle). I moved from the Philippines to Canada in October 2021 and started at The Pet a month later!

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

I love connecting with clients personally, watching all their pets grow and learning their little quirks. I enjoy working with dogs that are challenging and who need more structure and training because it’s very rewarding for me to see the tremendous progress we make. I especially love the Weiners, Bernese Mountain Dogs, and Labradors.

Tell us about your pets at home!

I have a 7-year-old tripod, Maxine the pomeranian, who came with me to Canada, and I have a 2-year-old Husky named Koda back in the Philippines.
