How long have you worked in pet care?

I’ve been working in pet care since September of 2021. When I started at pet, it was my first job in pet care.

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

My favourite things about working at pet are seeing all the fantastic dogs each day and how lovely the customers are.

Back in Ontario with my parents, I have a harlequin Great Dane named Rayne and a cute Frenchie named Dozer.

How long have you worked in pet care?

I have worked in pet care for close to 13 years. I started at a dog daycare/training facility in my early 20s. From there, I went on to work at The Country Club Pet Resort, which at the time was the largest boarding facility in Canada. I was there for 11 years. I have done dog walking and pet sitting in between, and I worked at a local raw food manufacturer making dog food! New opportunities brought me to The Pet last October.

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

My favourite part about working at The Pet is my teammates and the pets, obviously. We have a great group who all live for the animals and enjoy making their time here fantastic. After so many years, it wasn’t easy to get to know a whole new group of pets and clients, but I’m enjoying that too! We have fantastic clients.

At home, I have 3 dogs! Penny – a 4-year-old miniature dachshund who is the queen of our household. I have Moose – a 4-year-old Shepherd x St. Bernard mix. He’s my work in progress. I adopted him at 1.5 years, and I was already his 5th home by that time. He’s my big sucky baby. And then I have Crash, a 2-year-old husky mix who came from the SikSika reserve. I adopted him in November 2020, and he is my crazy guy with endless energy! We have done some agility training, and I hope to get him involved in some other dog sports in the near future.

How long have you worked in pet care?

I have worked in pet care for 4 years.

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

My favourite part about The Pet is the most amazing, unique and endless opportunities offered. From Calgary Tower and ice cream shop field trips to being able to connect with remarkable clients. Having the opportunity to hang out and care for such wonderful animals all day long, and finally, the chance to be surrounded by the most fun, exceptional, loving co-workers that have turned into family. The Pet has become my second home, and I am so grateful for everything.

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

My favourite part has to be pretty much everything! I love seeing the dogs and cats come and leave, I love getting to know each dog’s personality, and I love watching the little babies grow.

How long have you worked in pet care?

I studied Animal Science in college back home, and it has always been a dream of mine to work with animals since I was a little kid! I have worked at The Pet since March 2020, right before the pandemic hit! I moved to Calgary from Dublin, Ireland, in Sept 2019 and am currently in the process of getting my permanent residency!

What’s your favourite part about working at The Pet?

I love seeing the dogs growing up. It’s so rewarding to hear from clients what an amazing job we are doing and that their pups go home relaxed and tired from playing with their pals all day!

Growing up, I owned almost every pet possible, but I currently have a cat in his crazy teenager phase at home! His name is Bongo, and he is the happiest, wildest, most food-driven little man! I’m excited to expand my pet family again in the next few years.

I don’t currently have any pets, but I would love to have some one day! I want a cat and one or two dogs. I’m a huge fan of breeds like Leonbergers or other big and cuddly bear-like dogs!
